5day Forecast for 4/22/13

Cooler again today, with high temperatures only reaching into the mid-50s for most of the DC  area.  Last night was a chilly one too, with lows reaching ~40° in the city and down into the mid-30s in the suburbs.  Some warmth is coming back this week, but it is bringing some precipitation with it.  Read on past the break for your full forecast for this week & coming weekend!

Tonight, like last night, will still be cold, reaching down into the lower-40s in the city and lower in the suburbs.  There is a chance of scattered showers East of DC thanks to a disturbance making its way up the coast.  Most of the area should not see any precipitation.

60s will return tomorrow, but barely.  Some areas may not break 60°, possibly.  Otherwise, skies should be partly cloudy, becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon.

The DC Metro will really begin to heat up on Wednesday ahead of another frontal system as winds shift more from the south.  Highs should break 70° in the city.

A cold front will reach our area in the late afternoon, and bring with it rain and scattered thunderstorms into the evening and early morning hours Thursday.

Behind the front on Thursday, temperatures will once again fall, but this time not as drastically.  Expect highs in the lower- to mid-60s under partly cloudy skies.

Friday and the weekend will warm up again, with temperatures reaching the lower-70s by Sunday.  There will be a chance of showers in the evening on Saturday, but otherwise it should be enjoyable weather outside.
