It was great, albeit hot, summer weather outside today, with temperatures climbing up to around 90° all around DC. While the heat may not be something we are quite used to again yet—with pools just reopening this past Memorial Day weekend—tolerable humidity helped light outdoor activity to be enjoyable. Although skies remained mostly cloudy, we did still see quite a bit of the sun over the area today as clouds broke this afternoon, helping temperatures reach 80° at National. There’s a line of rain and storms to our West in Western Virginia, as well as some isolated storms in Southern Maryland. We shouldn’t see much more development this evening, although more isolated showers could pop up South and West of DC. Read on past the break for your full forecast for this week!
It’s been a cool and dreary day out, complete with scattered showers over parts of the DC Metro area. With no sun in sight and cooler offshore air being blown in from the East, it has not been the best weekend to be outside.
