5day Forecast 6/16/13

It’s been a mostly cloudy day for the DC area today, with a small amount of sunshine here and there.  Some of the DC suburbs, especially further North into Frederick, received some rain and thunderstorms this afternoon.  We’re looking at more of the same the next few days—so when will the sunshine we experienced on Saturday return?  Read on past the break for your full forecast!

The scattered showers and isolated thunder will continue into tonight, with lows reaching down to around 70°.

Expect more of the same tomorrow, with mostly cloudy skies and the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.  The highest chance will be to the south of DC, along where the front passing through overnight will stall.

Another front will move through the area Tuesday evening, bringing with it more widespread showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday.

High pressure will begin to dominate the area on Wednesday, and will persist through the end of the week.  This will bring back the sunny skies, but with slightly cooler temperatures behind the front on Wednesday.
