5day Forecast 7/10/13

It’s been a hot and especially humid day out so far, with temperatures rising into the upper 80s, and with heat indices into the 90s!  A few scattered and light showers have affected parts of the area, but most of the heavy showers and storms have remained to our south in Central Virginia.  More rain is on the way—will it affect your weekend plans?  Find out after the break!

Scattered showers and even a thunderstorm will affect the DC metro this evening and into the overnight hours.  This will aid in very humid conditions tonight.

A cold front will approach our area from the west on Friday, bringing showers and storms ahead of it.  Expect rainy and stormy conditions throughout the area on Friday.

The cold front will pass us and move to the Southeast Friday evening, and will be followed by a high pressure system.

The weekend will start with slightly cooler temperatures, in the mid-80s, and plenty of sun.

Temperatures will begin to rise again into the 90s by the start of next week, while clear skies continue to dominate the region.
