I finally found the time to go down and check out the National Cherry Blossoms on the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. today—it was definitely a great choice! A little hot, but better than the chill that accompanied my visit last year. Unlike last year, I also managed to go right at the peak bloom, leading to some wonderful, full, and pink blossoms. Good thing too, since the potential rain and storms Thursday night into Friday will probably take many of them down for the weekend… Check below the fold on this post for the full photo gallery!
YouTube user Jackie Pratt posted the video below on yesterday’s waterspout near Cobb Island, MD. The tornado-warned storm was one of three issued yesterday, including another just north of Hagerstown, MD in Pennsylvania.
At the beginning of August, I took a trip to Western Ohio, taking some photos of the natural beauty of, well…nature. Living in the city/suburbs for most of my life, past and present, I always love traveling into the mountains and beyond to slightly more scenic settings.
